SINGAPORE, 28 June 2000 --
JustLogin, a local Application Service Provider, announces
today the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Singapore@Work 2000
development programme. The MOU is signed among Infocomm Development Authority of
Singapore (IDA), Singapore Productivity and Standards Board, nine other selected
technology companies and all the major chambers of commerce in Singapore.
Held at the Singapore
International Convention and Exhibition Centre, the MOU signing ceremony embarks
upon a mission to encourage local enterprise to consider and adopt e-commerce
relevant to their business operations as their long-term viability in the face
of the New Economy.
"JustLogin is honoured to be one of the only two
dot.com companies to be given the opportunity to participate in the development
of Singapore@Work 2000 programme. Through the programme, we aim to communicate
to local enterprises that with the boom of the Internet, JustLogin has
leveraged on its technology to help them increase their cost-savings and manage
their office and administrative functions smartly to raise overall
productivity," said Kwa Kim Chiong, Chief Executive Officer of JustLogin.
JustLogin provides a comprehensive suite of office and
administrative collaborative applications that makes it simpler for companies
and organisations to conduct internal surveys, manage human resources, allocate
office resources, carry out real-time online meetings, post announcements,
communicate and share information.
"Despite all the rah-rah about the
Internet, there are many local enterprises not leveraging on its capabilities to
expand and improve their business processes because they lack the knowledge and
are not familiar with it. With Singapore@Work 2000, we hope to reach out to
these enterprises and educate them on how the Internet can help them to work
smarter and more efficiently." added Kwa.
Targeted at 553,000 audience
including professionals, managers, executives and businessmen, Singapore@Work
2000 is an eight-part series e-commerce television programme which will be
telecast on TCS 5, TCS 8 and Channel News Asia. Building upon the success of
Singapore@Work series which National Computer Board (NCB) presented over TCS in
1998, its primary focus is to highlight to local enterprises the need to invest
in e-commerce to compete effectively in the local, regional and international
markets.
JustLogin is confident that Singapore@Work 2000 will see
similar success as that developed by NCB in 1998.
