SINGAPORE -- 29 March 2005 --
Singapore-based company JustLogin Pte Ltd and Finnish Sofor Oy have entered into a business partnership agreement to sell and promote the Waplane technology in Singapore. Waplane is a mobile middleware designed by Sofor to mobilize existing business solutions. JustLogin starts to offer the product as part of their service concept to business customers.
JustLogin is the leading provider of on-demand collaboration services for the global business community. The aim is to help companies, large or small, work smarter and more efficiently through a suite of office collaborative applications that makes it easier to submit claims, conduct surveys, apply for leave, manage office resources, share documents, communicate through emails, and more. Sofor’s Waplane product adds value to Justlogin’s service offering and enables Justlogin’s customers to access information such as email and calendar from any mobile devices.
Sofor’s Waplane was introduced in 1999 when Sofor implemented mobile access to e-mail using Nokia’s first Wap phone. Browser based thinking has governed Waplane solutions ever since. Sofor is committed on developing mobility according to global standards and trends. As a proof of this, Sofor also has some client solutions available for e.g. Nokia Communicator users. However, in many countries and instances, global requirements like OECD Information Privacy and Security Guidelines drive local jurisdiction and also take practical implementations towards mobile portals based on the use of browser.
“The technology from Sofor will enable our users to access our applications via any mobile devices. Also, the out-of-the-box solution that allows Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange users to access their email and calendar is expected to bring new opportunities for us”, says Mr. Kwa Kim Chiong, CEO of Justlogin.
JustLogin is the first company in Asia to offer business mobilization services as a full service. To Sofor the co-operation with JustLogin is a major step forward in Asian market. It opens a great deal of new possibilities for Waplane product.
“We are very pleased that we have found a mutual way to co-operate with JustLogin. We believe that this partnership will bring true benefit to both parties”, says Mr. Mikko Suuntala, Senior Vice President of Sofor Wireless Solutions. “JustLogin’s business model and reputation among their customers is one of a kind.”
JustLogin starts to offer on-demand mobile business solutions using Waplane product.
