SINGAPORE -- 5 April 2000 -- JustLogin, a local
application service provider, today announced the addition of new applications
and enhancements to its suite of applications-on-tap on www.justlogin.com, the portal for businesses
seeking to work smarter and more efficiently.
The new applications, plus
enhancements to the current offering of office collaborative applications,
reinforces JustLogin's objective of becoming the portal-of-choice for all
businesses and organisations. JustLogin users have immediate
access to a powerful suite of intranet applications for collaborative work and
office administration, such as email, employee directories, document sharing,
online meetings, electronic forms, leave applications, company announcements,
internal surveys and office resource bookings.
Kwa Kim Chiong, chief
executive officer of JustLogin said: "JustLogin is now
even more comprehensive and made much more compelling for companies to turn to
the Internet for all of their office administrative needs. Our email and
document management applications are easy to use and implement within a company.
Companies no longer need mail or file servers. Together with all of our current
applications, JustLogin is offering the global business community a powerful
suite of office collaborative applications that emulates the intranet
applications of large corporations."
With these new applications, JustLogin also expects an
increase in their user base. "Embarking on a marketing campaign is simply not
enough to compete for eyeballs or mind share in the competitive arena of the
Internet. Our approach will always be to provide the most comprehensive set of
practical applications, information and links that users can easily utilise and
appreciate. Other important considerations are security and availability, two
factors that we take seriously. With these considerations in place, we expect
greater acceptance from the business community."
New Features
and Enhancements
eFolder: A document management application,
eFolder allows users to organise and share documents via the Internet in a
secure environment. Users can create their own personal folders to store
documents on eFolder. A travelling employee can then access the documents from
anywhere and at anytime. This feature helps the business executive avoid packing
diskettes or any other storage medium when travelling. They can also decide with
whom to share the documents, without having to bother a system administrator.
Users can create a work group within the company to share a particular
folder. Members of this work group will be able to view and even add documents
to be shared among them, enhancing workflow.
Documents can also be
placed in public folders where everyone within the company can view them. This
is especially convenient for common documents such as the company handbook,
sales presentation, etc.
eNoticeBoard: A bulletin board application,
users can now attach any type of document to eNoticeBoard. eNoticeBoard
accommodates all common office documents such as .txt, .doc, .ppt and .xls
files.
eLeave: A leave application tool, eLeave has a new calendar
format. Users can have a pictorial view of both their personal leave schedule
throughout the year and that of their staff within the company or department. It
will help both the user and the management to plan and approve leave
applications at the appropriate time, thus avoiding major disruptions to current
work-in-progress and productivity.
eMail: The email application will be
available by end April. It is completely web-based with POP3 capability, which
allows a company to use its name in the email address.
The full suite of
applications available at JustLogin are eLeave, eNoticeBoard, eDirectory,
eSurvey, eForm, eMeeting, with eFolder and eMail being the latest additions.
